Megan Elise Skinner

Our Meg returned to the eternal presence of her Savior on November 4, 2015. She was born in Minot, North Dakota on September 15, 1997 and lived most of her life in Colorado Springs. She graduated in May 2015 from Colorado Springs Christian High School. Meg was pursuing a degree as Occupational Therapy Assistant at Casper College, Wyoming and desired to use her training to help children with disabilities.

During high school, Meg joyfully served in children’s ministries at her church, Village Seven Presbyterian. She was a talented artist, musician, and singer; she found delight in glorifying God with the gifts he gave her. Her life was filled with love, joy, peace, kindness, faithfulness, and gentleness. She loved unconditionally, she comforted the afflicted, she selflessly served others in need with a generous spirit. She faithfully accomplished all the good works God had prepared her to do in her short life with us. Meg was a beautiful gift of God sent for a time to shine the light of Christ’s love in a broken world.

She is survived by her parents, Kurt and Trudy Skinner; brother Andrew; sister Grace; grandparents Jim and Carole Skinner, Ray and Nova Searcy; and uncle Troy Searcy and his wife Janice.

Please join us in celebrating Meg’s life at 10 A.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4040 Nonchalant Circle South in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, the Skinner family is accepting donations for a scholarship fund to be established in Meg’s honor.
