Michael Joseph Mihalko

Michael Joseph Mihalko of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away January 6, 2015. He was born November 16, 1950 to Billy “Joe” and Opal (Campbell) Mihalko in Antigo, WI.

He graduated from Washington High School in Germantown, WI. While serving in the United States Army, he met his loving wife, Suki (Yi) Mihalko. They were wed on May 6, 1972. Mike went on to complete his Associates of Arts Degree. He and his family resided in Crandon, WI until a move in 1991 to Colorado Springs brought him closer to his brother, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Mike and Suki were married 40 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, Mitch Mihalko; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer; and sister, Jean Ryder. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, as well as three grandchildren: Sara, Jaron and Bransen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Suki; parents: Billy and Opal Mihalko; and brother, Raymond Mihalko.

A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Shrine of Remembrance, located at 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception will follow the funeral at Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard. A private inurnment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
