Michael “Mike” D. Robinson, 68, passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2024. He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 40 years. As a child of a military family, they moved around a lot. Mike attended high school in Taiwan and graduated in 1973. He also earned an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s in computer science, and a master’s in computer science with a minor in information technology.
Mike was born on July 9, 1955, to Mack Robinson and Jean (Phillips) Robinson in Emporia, Kansas. He married Rebecca Candelaria on July 9, 1988, in Colorado Springs.
Mike was an avid reader, T. Clancy, W.E.B Griffin, and D. Brown were some of his favorite novelists. He has an extensive library that now lives on through his family. Another of Mike’s favorite pastimes was watching our beloved Denver Broncos, win or lose, it didn’t matter, he was there rooting them on.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca “Becky” Robinson; mother, Jean Robinson; grandchildren: Daniela Llamas of Houston, Myles Montgomery and Mya Montgomery of Colorado Springs; and great-grandson, Matteo Montgomery of Colorado Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Robinson; daughter, Jennifer Candelaria; and son, Eric Moder.
A Funeral Service in honor of Mike will be held at 10:00AM, on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
