Michael W. Ford
Michael W. Ford passed away unexpectedly on January 16th at his home in Elbert, Colorado.
Michael was born to Raymond and Dora Ford on December 30, 1951 in Lima, Ohio. Mike moved to Colorado as a teenager. He spent many years working for the Gazette and School District 38.
Mike had one daughter, Wendy. He was married to his second wife, Karen, for 17 years and helped to raise two of her four sons.
After Karen’s passing, he found new life and love again with Angeline Frank. He also helped raise her two children. He loved each of his step-children as if they were his own.
Mike enjoyed dancing, going to the casinos, watching the Broncos and Rockies on t.v., and working the morning crossword. But his greatest enjoyment was spent riding his motorcycle.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dora; wife Karen; and step-son Steve. He is survived by his partner, Angeline; his daughter, Wendy Morrow (Jason) of Mabton, Washington; step-sons: Mike, Bill, and Dean Leyerle, all of Colorado Springs; step-son, Nathan Groeschen of West Allis, Wisconsin; step-daughter, Kelly Groeschen of Monument, Colorado; brother, Roger (Toni) of Grand Junction; sister, Peggy Carpenter (Terry) of Hickory, North Carolina; and grandsons: Braiden, Billy, Raymond, and Zander Morrow.
Per Mike’s wishes, no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with final arrangements.
