Michele Dae Schmidt – June 26, 2021

Michele Dae Schmidt, age 70, died at Penrose hospital on June 26th, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado she was surrounded by a loving family who cared for her immensely. Michele was born on December 27th, 1950 in Douglas Wyoming to her parents, Chet Schmidt and Lois Woody. She had four other siblings: Harpe, Kelly, Lissette and Robin. She moved to Texas at a young age where she began her career in culinary arts. She later moved the family to Colorado Springs where she resided until she passed away. She worked at many different nursing homes, cooking for residents, as well as cooking meals for the local military. Michele’s hobbies were spending time with grandchildren and family, watching cooking shows or singing her heart out in the car or at karaoke. Michele was a loving mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family. There are not many people like Michele in the world and she will be missed dearly. She is survived by her brother Harpe, her children Tammy, Wesley and Travis, and her huge family made of 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
