On January 14th, 2023 Mildred (Billie as she was known to most) Irene Ohmer passed peacefully in her home. She was a beloved member of her community. She spent close to 30 years volunteering at the Villa, socializing with residents and building lifelong friendships. As a devoted member of her church, St Joseph, she served on the Women’s Guild planning church functions and weekend events. She drove a school bus for 11 years with the Harrison School district. As a military spouse, she followed her husband (Eugene) across the world from Washington state, to Texas, Colorado, Vicenza Italy and back to Colorado. Her hobbies included; baking, sewing, knitting, embroidery and shopping. She was above all devoted to her children and grandchildren, celebrating every victory and always refusing to leave before handing each grandchild a dollar. She is survived by 5 of her six children; Susan Thompson (Andy), Daniel Ohmer, Nancy Emst (Bobby), Steven Ohmer, and Janice Garriott (Philip), 8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband Eugene Ohmer and daughter Karen Ohmer.
