Monte LoEll Frederiksen was called home on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the age of 90 years old. She was a resident of Pueblo for over 70 years.
Monte was born on October 5, 1932, to Elkanah Brough (Butch) and Edna Mae (Jiggs) Allison in Oklahoma. She attended Centennial High School in Pueblo, Colorado and graduated in 1951. In June of 1951, she married Robert (Fritz) Elias Frederiksen in Pueblo, Colorado.
Monte was a very talented artist. She would bake and decorate cakes for friends and family, draw the covers for her daughter’s (Raphaelle) dance recital programs, realistically paint wood carvings that her and her husband created at home for Dream Weavers children, family, and friends.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Tia Blair, Garrett Larson, Kara Miller, Jeremy Frederiksen, and Michael Ahmed; and her great-grandchildren: Mikhail Larson, Kaleb Larson, Shay Larson, Alex Blair, Alaina Blair, Temperance Miller, and Hope Blair. She has been reunited with her husband, Fritz; her children: Leon Frederiksen and Raphaelle Ahmed; and her siblings: Gary Allison and Joyce Potochnick.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 23 at the Pikes Peak Christian Church, 4955 Bradley Rd, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80911. A reception will be held following the memorial service at Garrett’s house.
