Born March 6, 1931 to Charles Robert and Ena Eller Dimond in Portis, KS.

Myrna graduated high school in 1947 from Gaylord, KS as Salutatorian.

She married the love of her life John Favinger October 10, 1948.

She leaves behind daughters, Sheila (David) Higbee, Connie (Ed) Eggleston; son, Rick (Tonya) Favinger; grandchildren, Sean Higbee, Chuck Higbee, Gary Higbee, Jeremy Cadd, Jennifer Cadd, Samatha (Travis) Reynolds, Eddie Eggleston; great grandchildren, Brittany Higbee, Brianna Higbee, Tyler Higbee, Haylee Higbee, Kayla Higbee, Olivia Higbee, Victoria Higbee, Emerson Reynold; great grandchildren, Dallas Lowers.

She dedicated 51 years to Nemeths El Tejon Restaurant which was her 2nd family. After retirement she and John enjoyed camping with the Roaming Elk’s Camper Club at Elks Lodge 309. She was also a lifetime member of the elk’s ladies club (formerly wives club) and was Chaplain. She did numerous volunteer work at the club such as working Bingo every Monday, working parties, and clean up at the Lodge.

She enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, knitting and was always there for family. She will be missed tremendously by all that knew her.

  1. Our neighbor, Myrna, was like family. She and John were godsends to my mom after my dad passed and “adopted “ us as part of theirs as well. A beautiful lady with a huge heart. I will miss her and hold her in my heart.

  5. I only knew her for a short time as one of her caregivers. She was very sweet and we laughed a lot. I was blessed to have known her. May she RIP
