Nan R. Franklin, age 65 and a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013. She was a homemaker and former teacher at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind in Colorado Springs.
She was born on May 21, 1948 in Colorado Springs to Grier and Donna Lee (Mickelson) Manning. She was a graduate of Colorado State University, Pueblo.
Nan loved the game of softball and was even a softball umpire for many years. She also adored dogs and enjoyed handcrafts.
She is survived by her father, Grier; her daughter, Ever Hopper (Tony Ausborne); her brothers: Ken Manning (wife Ann), and Lee Manning; and her two grandchildren: Rio and Dacey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna.
