Nancy Hackett – December 26, 2020

Nancy Hackett, a Colorado Springs resident for 55 years, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.  She was a loving homemaker and a military wife.

She was born on September 19, 1933 in East Falmouth, Massachusetts to Arthur Schroeder and Irene (Brackett) Schroeder.  She married James Leslie Hackett in 1952 in East Falmouth.

Nancy was a member of First United Methodist Church and was involved in the church choir and the ladies Bible study.  As an artist she enjoyed painting and home decorating.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Hackett (wife, Donna), and David Hackett (wife, Janet); a daughter, Victoria Peterson (husband, Eric); a brother, Henry Schroeder; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Shrine of Remembrance.  Inurnment will be private.
