Teacher, 21-year Colorado Springs resident, and formerly a resident of Denver for 10 years. Survived by a daughter, Jaya Roberts; her father, Garfield Stokes; her mother, Sinie Stokes; a brother, John Stokes; two sisters, Romaine Jake and Mary Stokes-Miller; and 3 grandchildren. Services private.

Nanina L. Johnson, age 56, passed away on January 5th, 2015. She was a resident of Colorado for 48 years. She was an early childhood education teacher for over 20 years.
Nanina Johnson was born on December 9, 1958 to Garfield and Sinie Stokes. She attended Mitchell High School and continued on to the University of Northern Colorado and graduated in 1980.
Nanina was fond of teaching young children and enjoyed traveling abroad. She also enjoyed playing the lottery.
She is survived by her daughter, Jaya Roberts; her parents: Garfield and Sinie Stokes; her siblings: Mary Stokes, Romaine Jake, John Stokes; her grandchildren: Brennan, Davin, and Trinity Roberts. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Stokes.
