Natalie C. Aguilar Bartling
Natalie C. Bartling, age 41, a resident of Colorado Springs since 2002 and formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on September 22, 2012 at her home in Colorado Springs as a result of a seizure disorder. She was a homemaker, mother, wife, and a student.
Natalie Catalina Aguilar (“La Tierna”) was born in León, Nicaragua on July 2, 1971, to Erwin and Edith (Ramirez) Aguilar. She was a graduate of St. Anthony of Padua School in New Orleans, Seton Academy High School in New Orleans, and attending Colorado Technical University. She married Lance Michael Bartling on August 3, 2002, at St. Stevens Lutheran Church in New Orleans. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, her son, Antonio.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 10 years: Lance Bartling of Colorado Springs and their young son, Antonio; her mother Edith, her father Erwin and his wife, Blanca of New Orleans; her sister, Maria Aguilar Icaza (Francisco) of New Orleans; her niece Gabriela, godson Uriel, nephews Francisco, Christopher, and Nicholas; cousins Julia Marchelle Aguilar Green (Scott) of Fountain, Colorado, David Aguilar, of Atlanta, Georgia; her stepsister Heidi Keisling; her grandparents Antonio and Bertha Aguilar of New Orleans, and Haydée Ramirez of Guadalajara; Lance’s parents: Eunice and Roger Johnson of Concord, Nebraska and Gene Bartling and Mary Hogan of Jackson, Nebraska. She is also survived by her brother-in-law: Travis Bartling; and two sisters-in-law: Katie Bloomfield and Kandyce (Darby) Kelly. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends who love and cherish her.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home; and at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fireside Room.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
