Norman T. Sims, age 79 years, passed away on November 13, 2014. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 35 years and was formerly a resident of Albion, MI. He was in the auto sales business.
Norman was born on May 4, 1935 to Cecil and Louise (Lusk) Sims.
Ted enjoyed fishing and gaming. He attended Albion High School and graduated in 1952. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
He is survived by his children: Jeffery Sims, Jody Sims, Kevin (spouse Callie) Sims, Lisa (spouse Steven) Martinez, Dawn Kanzler, Traci King; siblings: Jim (spouse Jeanette) Sims, Brenda (spouse Larry) Wheeler; grandchildren: Ashley, Jeremy and Cameron Martinez, Dominic and Raquell Sandoval, Eric, Deven and Brittany Aldrete, Zachary, Christina, Jessica and Matthew Sims; great grandchildren: Isabelle and Gabrielle Martinez, Spencer Sims, Mia Vargas, Jax Aldrete and Kyah Paladino. He was preceded in death by Cecil and Louise Sims, Eleanor and Carol Sims, Don and Gary Sims.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
