Normand Peter Fisette passed away at home on August 31, 2015 after a 6 month battle with Multiple Myeloma. Norm was born on November 6, 1939 in Worcester, MA to the late Arthur and Beatrice (Bourassa) Fisette.
After graduation from Worcester Junior College, Norm proudly served in the Air Force from 1960-1964. He went on to pursue a career in engineering and was a graduate of Stonehill College and Northeastern University.
Norm moved to Colorado Springs in 1978, and worked as a Technical Writer for Digital Equipment Corporation for 23 years. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, antique collecting, writing, and taking frequent walks to the pond near his house to observe and enjoy nature.
Norm’s greatest joy was his family. When his daughters were young he loved taking them on bike rides, ice cream runs, and outings to explore nature and the world around them. Norm was a kind and caring person who made friends wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Katherine Mary (Smith) Fisette; daughters Karen Marie Kirouac (Brian), and Susan Margaret Keller; granddaughters Courtney and Kasey Kirouac; and son-in-law Zachary Keller. He is also survived by his brothers Walter Fisette of Manchester, CT, Edward Fisette (Nancy) of Alburg, VT; and a sister, Doris Taft of Millbury, MA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many other cherished friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Normand’s name may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice or Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs.
