Our Legacy
For over fifty years, we have been Colorado Springs’ faithful provider of legendary and reasonably priced service to our veterans and their families. Our commitment to excellence at our full-service funeral home, on-site crematory, mausoleum, and columbarium facilities offers everything one might desire in a uniquely beautiful place that is dignified and stately for families to visit during their time of need.
It all began in 1965 with a spark of a new idea from Costas Rombocos, a courageous immigrant from Athens, Greece, who aspired to pursue excellence and innovation in the death care industry. Costas has sought innovation without sacrificing his reverent respect for our heritage, legacy, and the traditions of the past.
Costas’ oldest son, Demetri Rombocos, joined his father at the Shrine of Remembrance in November of 1993 following his graduation from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He has served as the President of the Shrine of Remembrance for many years.
Dino Rombocos, Costas’ younger son, began his employment at the Shrine of Remembrance following his graduation from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1992.
Together, both Dino and Demetri have demonstrated their commitment and love for the industry for over 25 years to follow in their father’s footsteps and continue to uphold the Shrine of Remembrance’s mission and values well into the 21st Century.
