Patricia Jean “Pat” Patzel
Patricia Jean Patzel, a resident of Colorado Springs for 56 years, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
Pat was born on February 29, 1928 in Madison, Nebraska to William and Marie (Tobola) Lintner. She married Robert A. Patzel on January 2, 1951 in Columbus, Nebraska.
Prior to marriage she was employed as a manager in a department store. Later she worked as a telephone switchboard operator.
Pat was a very positive person with an amazing outlook on life. She also had a great memory and was an incredible cook. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, harvesting fruit from her small backyard orchard, fishing and camping trips, travel through the mountains, visiting with her friends and relatives, playing cards, and listening to news, music, and talk shows. She was fond of children and loved her nieces, nephews, and grandsons.
She is survived by her sons: Gary Patzel, and Dean (wife Diane) Patzel; her brother, Gerald Lintner; and two grandsons: Tyler and Branden. She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Robert Lintner; and her sisters: Eileen and Erma.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.
