Paul D. Wise, Jr. went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2017. He was born April 30, 1930 in Pueblo, Colorado.

He served honorably in the Army during the Korean War with stations in Japan, Germany and Korea. He then began his career as an Electrical Engineer in the Aerospace industry, including being involved in the establishment of NORAD.

Paul enjoyed traveling, was an avid outdoors-man and sports fan. He loved watching his Colorado Rockies baseball team and always verbalized a better strategy when they were losing. He was a Do-It-Yourselfer and believed in doing as much as possible to help others.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane; son: Paul D. Wise III; daughters: Valeri Kidwell (David) and Karen Ross; grandchildren: Preston and Kyle Kidwell, Kaylene and Nathan Ross, Annahlese and Mariah Wise; and great-granddaughter: Mikaela Kidwell. He is also survived by sisters, Lois White and Carol Rowsey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers: Riley Sovine, Timothy and Douglas Wise; and sister: Marion Cottrell.

Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved the Lord and his family and was deeply loved in return. Without him, there is a void that will not be filled until we meet with him again.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4040 Nonchalant Circle South, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, 8105 County Road 144, Salida, Colorado 81201.
