Paul David Berry
Paul, age 88, passed away on September 17, 2016. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for many years and was formerly from Ohio. He was a retired commercial service technician for Overhead Door.
Paul was born on July 16, 1928 to Ira and Ada Berry (Culp) in Elida, Ohio. He married Mary (Honnen) Berry on December 6, 2003 in Colorado Springs.
He was an active member of the Colorado Springs Minerology Society. He taught gemstone faceting at the Senior Center and maintained an interest in railroading and trains. He was a World War II Army Veteran who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Mary Berry; his children (& spouses): Laurel (Larry) Doxtader, Karen (Bob) Rudicil, Brian, Jeff, & John Schillig; his sister Margret Hesterman; and his grandchildren (& spouses): Tim (Care) Young, Joy (Doug) Sterrett, Christie (David) Chatfield, Sarah (Kirk) Morgan, Lauren (Derrick) Hill. He has 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
His family and friends loved him for his caring heart and fatherly character. He showed us how to be a man and love unconditionally. We will miss him greatly and remember forever.
Paul will be buried in Ohio at Toledo Memorial Park and Cemetery.
