Paul Oliver Aylesbury passed away April 18, 2017 at Penrose Hospital from complications related to congestive heart failure.
Paul was born on March 11, 1944 to Arthur and Lois (Fertig) Aylesbury in San Diego, California, where he was an avid ocean fisherman in his younger years. He married the love of his life Josefa Mercedes (Tax) Aylesbury in San Diego, California on September 18, 1972. Paul served in the Army between 1972 and 1978, including one year in the Republic of Vietnam as a medical specialist. Paul and Josie settled in Colorado Springs in 1977. There they raised three children and remained active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). Paul enjoyed his time serving in the LDS Denver Temple for several years. He loved his family very much, and was friendly and jovial to all he came in contact with. He will be deeply missed by his family and those who loved him.
Paul is survived by his beautiful wife Josie; his two brothers, Bradley of San Diego, California and David of Tallahassee, Florida; his loving children: Arthur and wife Brandy of Ft. Worth, Texas, Sarah McNeal and husband Josh of Reno, Nevada, John and wife Erika of Sparks, Nevada; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held at the LDS Chapel 1310 Aeroplaza Dr. in Colorado Springs on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
