Paul Wayne Atkins, age 67, passed away on February 13, 2016 with his family by his side. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 50 years. Paul was an accountant for Accounting Alternatives, which was started by his father, and had served the area for 44 years.
Paul Wayne Atkins was born on October 22, 1948 to Paul Charles and Frances Irene (Winstead) Atkins in Front Royal, Virginia. On December 22, 1970 he married the love of his life, Teresita Sabungan, on Clark Air Base in the Philippines.
Paul was an avid Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed fishing, but most importantly he cherished being a grandpa. He served in the United States Air Force for 16 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresita; his children: Paul Andrew (Michelle Dolph-Atkins), Andreana Irene (Lance) Keleher, Terry Lynn Atkins; his grandchildren: Kali, Katelynn, Alexus, Peri, Kendal, Emma, Keegan, Brali and Emery; his great-grandchild, Aeneas; and siblings: Marilyn Deweese, Kenneth Atkins and Andrew Atkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Bruce and Dale Atkins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Private interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
