It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paula (68), a cherished member of our family, who left us on April 19, 2025. Paula was a beloved sister to her 9 siblings, a dear daughter to her surviving mother, and a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a resident of Monument, CO for 5 years and formerly a resident of Brookfield, IL.

Born to Kenneth J Gotsch and Patricia (Sheehan) Gotsch, Paula was surrounded by a loving family from the very beginning. Her father, Ken, preceded her in death, but her mother, Pat, remains with us, carrying forward the love and memories of their shared life.

Paula was a pillar of strength, kindness, and generosity, always ready to support her siblings and delight her nieces and nephews with her warm spirit and endless affection.

Her life was a testament to the values of family, love, and dedication. Paula will forever be remembered for her unwavering commitment to those she held dear, her infectious laughter, smile, and her ability to bring joy and comfort to everyone around her.

Paula graduated from Nazareth Academy in LaGrange, IL (1975) and earned a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in History and French from Loyola University in Chicago, IL (1979). Later, she earned a degree in Anthropology from the University of Illinois. She always had fond memories of her trip to Paris for a study abroad program.  She was a dedicated employee at Amtrak for over 30 years. In more recent years, Paula traveled the world extensively with her sister Carol and brother-in-law Kent. She had a deep love for animals and enjoyed reading and needlepoint.

We invite all who knew and loved Paula to join us in celebrating her life and cherishing the memories she has left behind.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  A committal service follows at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.

May she rest in peace and her legacy continue to inspire us all.
