Peggy Lynn Van Kekerix was born on July, 13 1955 in Iowa and passed away on July 12, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 64.
Peggy Lynn Van Kekerix moved from Hull, Iowa to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1973 with her loving husband James (Dutch). They moved to Monument, Colorado in 1985 where Peg raised her 3 loving children Jamie, Kelly, and Levi. Peggy had started her own business “Upholstery by Peg” which was more a passion than a job to her. Peg loved her wonderful customers and really enjoyed putting a smile on everyone’s face. Peggy enjoyed the family trips and the motorcycle trips all over the U.S, Mexico, and Canada. Every day was an adventure and life is never as long as we need it to be. Peggy lived a full and happy life helping and loving every soul she touched.
Peggy is survived by her husband, James Van Kekerix, their three children and spouses, Jamie Van Kekerix, Kelly and Sean McKoon, Levi and Rhoda Van Kekerix, and her 2 grandchildren Shyan Van Kekerix and Kristopher McKoon.
Peggy you are missed and will always be loved by your family and friends.
A ceremony is not planned, Peggy’s wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will take place at a later date and family and friends will be notified of this event.
“Still Missing You”
They say there is a reason
They say that time will heal
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way we feel
For no one knows the heartache
that lies behind our smiles,
No one knows how many times
we have broken down and cried.
We want to tell you something
so there won’t be any doubt,
You’re so wonderful to think of
but so hard to be without.
We cannot bring the old days back,
when we were all together
The family chain is broken now,
but memories live forever.

15 Jul 2020I remember when we became neighbors and our children were so young. I’ll miss those days forever. But I’ll look at a flowers or one of those shiny balls and think of you. Say hi to Tom when you get to heaven and don’t start that block party without me.

27 Aug 2020To the family of Peggy, so sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Peggy. I spent a lot of time at the home of Julia and Louie in the summer months. Peggy’s Mom and my Mom were sisters. Our families would get together often. I have a picture of Peggy and Jim’s wedding. A life taken to soon. Praying for comfort to all of you.
