Penelope “Penny” Rhodes Simpson, age 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2013.
Penny Rhodes was born on June 22, 1946 in Colorado Springs to the late William E. Rhodes and Laurlie Mitchell Kern.
She is survived by her daughters: Leigh Ann Cannone Cassell (and William) of Mansfield, Missouri and Laura L. Cannone of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She has six wonderful grandchildren: Erica, Meghan, Cory, Lauren, Taryn, and Talia. She also has three great grandchildren: C.J., Emmarie and Ethan.
Penny also is survived by her siblings: Bill Rhodes of Florida, Cindy Rhodes McBride of South Carolina, and Larry Rhodes of Centennial, Colorado.
Penny was a professional draftsman and a graduate of Aims Community College, 1974 and Colorado Technical University, 2001.
Penny will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance North Chapel, 5440 North Union Boulevard.
Penny loved Yeshua Ha’Mashiach and remained brave and confident in her faith as she faced a terminal illness.
