Ralph J. Weyer, age 52, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 27 years and was formerly from southeast Nebraska.
Ralph was born on June 8, 1959 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Joseph Wayne and Gloria Jean (Robinson) Weyer. He enjoyed motorcycles and classic cars and loved talking about cars in general. He was a certified automotive technician; “The best in the business.” His repeat clientele would often call and ask that only Ralph service their cars.
He is survived by his wife, Heidi Hazlett; his daughters: Kylie Weyer, and Jenna Weyer; his step-children: Ashley Pederson, Anthony Hazlett, and Sean Hazlett; his mother, Gloria (husband Dwight) Graham; his siblings: Wayne (wife Diane) Weyer, Linda (husband Roger) Bundy, Doris (husband Les) Sebby, Freddy (wife Eydie) Weyer, and Dale (wife Anna) Weyer; and his grandchildren (to whom he was a Great Papa): Gage, Izaiah, and Ivan. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wayne Weyer.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A reception will follow the service and will be held at Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
