Randall Alan Baylett, age 45, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the early hours of
Friday, November 7th, 2014. He was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, and resided in
Colorado Springs.
He retired after 22 years of dedicated service in the United States Army as a Chief Warrant
Officer (CW3) and member of 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). As a Green Beret and
Army Ranger, he completed multiple deployments that included Operation Desert Storm and
Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as many posts in Europe and in the United States. He was a decorated soldier and three-time Bronze Star Medal recipient.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Baylett, of Pennsylvania; father, Walter M. Baylett White, of Virginia; daughter, Katie Baylett, of Colorado; son, Sean Baylett, of Colorado; sister, Joanna
French; brother, Shane White; brother, Zachary White; brother-in-law, Chris French; and nephew, Levi French, all of Virginia.
He recently hiked 500 miles of the Colorado Trail in the mountains that he loved. He was an exceptional man and an American hero.
A Memorial Service is being conducted as part of the Veteran’s Day Celebration at Memorial
Park on Tuesday, November 11th at noon, with full military honors. His family will make arrangements for a final burial and memorial at Arlington National Cemetery.
