Raymond August Bolduc

Raymond August Bolduc went peacefully to his maker on July 23, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Ray was born in Los Angeles, California on December 14, 1931 to August and Gertrude (Dabke) Bolduc, and was raised in Southern California. He attended Los Angeles State College, obtaining a degree with honors in civil engineering. He worked as a Registered Engineer for the City of Los Angeles for almost 30 years. Ray served his country in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature and animals. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, skiing, tennis, racquetball, bowling and running. He was an amateur meteorologist who loved and followed clouds and weather patterns. He also loved travelling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; daughter, Laura Denevan; son, Steven Bolduc; granddaughters: Jillian Stone and Jazmin Bolduc; grandsons: Patrick and James Denevan; and great-granddaughter, Scarlett German. He is also survived by stepdaughter, Lyndsey Denny and her children: Briana, Taylor, Alexis, Anthony, Jiliana, Joshua, Julian, Elliott, Selah, and Isaiah. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack Hanson; and his son, John Raymond Bolduc.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at First Lutheran Church, 1515 North Cascade Avenue, with a reception to follow. Inurnment will be private.
