Raymond George, age 78, passed away on November 11, 2024. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for many years and was retired from military and government service.
Ray was born on July 13, 1946, to Earl and Mary George of Pennsylvania. As an Air Force dependent, he lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Maine and Hawaii.
He graduated from Widefield High School in 1965 and enlisted in the Marines, serving in Vietnam. He then spent several years as a disk jockey in Colorado Springs and then joined the US Army, where he served in the radio and TV career field in Germany and Panama.
He is survived by his brother, Mike, and his sister, Marie (Mimi). Donations in Ray’s name may be made to Wounded Warriors.
