Reva I. Peterson
Born Nov. 28, 1929. Died July 27, 2016.
Reva I. Peterson was born on November 28, 1929 to Mark and Alice Sherwin on the family farm in western Kansas. After graduating from high school, she attended Business College in Salina, Kansas.
She enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951 where she met her husband, Byron E. Peterson. After his retirement from the Navy, they settled in Colorado Springs.
Reva spent 23 years in electronic assembly. She enjoyed many years of bowling, golf and gardening.
She was pre-deceased by her husband in 1992. She is survived by three children: Jeffrey Peterson of Grand Forks, N.D., Lori Vaughn of Colorado Springs, and Joel Peterson of Falcon, Colorado; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a brother, Warren Sherwin. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Douglas Sherwin and Dennis Sherwin.
Memorial service, 2 p.m. Thursday, Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.
