Richard F. Braudis
January 23, 1946 – June 22, 2016
Richard F. Braudis, age 70, passed away on June 22, 2016. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 28 years and a former resident of Canon City.
Richard was born on January 23, 1946 to William Braudis and Florence (Thompson) in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Brighton High School in Massachusetts, graduating in 1964. On December 23, 1972 he married June Singletary in Pueblo, Colorado. He worked as a car salesman for 30 years and also served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
Rich was fond of volunteer work that included the Hospital for Mended Hearts and, as he was an active member of Radiant Church, he served in Children’s Ministry, the Prison Ministry, and Royal Family Kids Camp. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and hiking with his wife, June.
He is survived by his loving wife, June; his two sons: Chris (Kendra) Braudis, and Todd (Kerrie) Braudis; 4 sisters: Deborah Thompson, Denise Corsi, Cheryl Vera and Darlene Vera; and 2 brothers: Larry Vera and Joryel Vera; as well as 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Radiant Church, 4020 Maizeland Road with a reception to follow immediately afterward.
