Richard Lee “Rich” Chandler

Richard Lee “Rich” Chandler, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1979, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017.
Rich was born on April 22, 1968 to Donald Winfield Chandler, Sr. and Betty Ann (Boosinger) Chandler in Kailua, Hawaii. He graduated from Harrison High School and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Zoology from Pikes Peak Community College. He was a laborer and avid fisherman who loved animals in general, but particularly his pets. He absolutely adored his three nephews.
Rich is survived by his mother, Betty Chandler; a brother, Donald Chandler; a sister, Susan Chandler; and 3 nephews: Justin Abila, Marcus Abila, and Robert Chandler. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Chandler, Sr.; a nephew, Patrick Abila; and a niece, Kayla Abila.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. all at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard. Burial will then take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
