Richard Shives, 49, of Colorado Springs, CO entered into rest November 29th, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Christin Shives, friends, and American Legion Riders.
Richard loved his country and was a US Army Desert Storm Veteran. He retired from the US Army in 1998 but remained very active in the Veteran’s community. He was an active member and supporter of the American Legion and loved volunteering for Veteran’s functions and local Veteran’s nursing homes. Among his love for his family and country, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and participated in such events as “Toys For Tots”.
He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 14th, 11am at The American Legion Post 38, 6685 Southmoor Dr., Fountain, CO 80817.
