Rick Bradford Chadwick
March 20, 1956 – October 19, 2018
Rick Bradford Chadwick, age 62, left for Heaven Friday, October 19, 2018. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for the past two years and was formerly a resident of the big island of Hawaii for twenty years, where his passion was being a coffee farmer.
Rick was born on March 20, 1956 to John Benjamin Chadwick and Naomi Pauline (Wright) Chadwick in Santa Ana, California. His family then moved to Joshua Tree, California and later to Oakhurst, California where he met and married Kandis S. Pasko on September 29, 1984.
He loved tending his coffee trees that he grew from seeds to the most amazing cup of coffee. Rick loved gardening in Hawaii, making exotic plants and trees flourish under his care. There were many adventures in camping and snorkeling he shared with his wife. Trips to DisneyWorld; Disneyland; Sedona, Arizona; Grand Canyon; Alaska; South Dakota; South Pacific and more were the greatest adventures Rick and Kandis explored together. Rick was also an avid reader, especially of science fiction. Car shows full of antique cars or souped up versions were always fun to visit. His sense of humor was pure entertainment for those around him. Rick never met a stranger, just a friend he hadn’t connected with.
He is survived by his wife/best friend/love of his life, Kandis S. Chadwick; his son, Jesse Daniel Chadwick; sister-in-law, Laura Hayward; brother-in-law, Norman Hayward; and niece, Taylor Hayward. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Pamala Chadwick.
Inurnment will be private.
