Ricky Leroy Brown ran into the eternal loving arms of his Savior on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Jesus came to bring him home! Rick was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Miriam Brown on July 17, 1947. He attended the Lutheran church with his mother and sister, Cheryl Ann. He married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Greenwald, after both graduated from the University of Wyoming, in 1969. Soon after graduating with an Accounting degree, Rick and Margaret moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where Rick worked for various companies before starting his own certified public accounting firm with Steve Erickson and Jay Kloster. After retiring, Rick’s daughter, Katie, took over as partner for him. Rick enjoyed taking care of his clients and forming close relationships with so many people.
Rick and Margaret raised their two daughters and two adopted sons in Colorado Springs. Rick loved the Lord and evangelized to many people sharing the love of Christ. He read his Bible faithfully everyday and prayed for so many. His love of travel took him around the world with friends and family. Rick’s passions were loving Jesus, loving his family, listening to music, playing Scrabble and card games, reading, helping people with their financial needs, and attending as many sporting events as possible. With the partnership of his sister and brother-in-law, he enjoyed the cabin in Wyoming where family and friends would gather.
The love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren, mother, sister and all of his family filled Rick’s heart completely. He did everything in his life to make sure everyone was taken care of and he certainly left a great legacy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Miriam Brown; his son, Eugene Brown; in-laws, Dorothy and William Greenwald; and his nephew, Joel Nedens.
