Robert “Bob” Stearns
Bob Stearns, age 59, passed away on October 6, 2012 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver after living with cancer. He had worked for many years with Current Corporation and Jensen, U.S.A. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, grandfather and grandson.
Bob was born on October 24, 1952 in Huron, South Dakota. Bob was a 1970 graduate of Palmer High School and attended Pikes Peak Community College. He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, riding his motorcycle and running. He was also a loyal Broncos and Rockies fan.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley Stearns, his parents: Clarence “Bud” and Virginia Stearns, his daughters: Stacey (Loren) Moreland and Debi (Mark) Backstrom. He is also survived by his three brothers: Mike, Joe (Wanda) and Roy “Noot” Stearns and his grandmother: Dolores Muth. He has five wonderful grandchildren: Brittney, Morgan, Connor, Sena, and Luka.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A celebration of Bob’s life will follow the service at the family’s home.
