Robert Eugene Wilder, 92, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 14, 2015. He was born on December 10, 1922 in Spooner, Wisconsin. His parents were Robert and Vernaline (Brooks) Wilder. He completed high school in Spooner in 1940. He entered the US Army in January, 1943 and served in the Medical Service in Europe during World War II. After the war he returned to Spooner where he was married to Marjorie Agnes (Okonek) Wilder on September 3, 1947. He re-entered the Army in 1948 and began a career in the Medical Service that took he and his family to Denver, Colorado, Frankfurt, Germany, Stuttgart, Germany, and San Antonio, Texas. He served a tour of duty in Vietnam during 1967-68, after which he and his family moved to Colorado Springs.

Robert attained the rank of First Sergeant before he retired from the Army in 1972. In 1973 he began a second career with the City of Colorado Springs Land Management Office, where he worked as a Manager until retirement in 1985. After retirement he and Marjorie enjoyed their life together in Colorado Springs and spending time with friends and family. An avid golfer, he especially enjoyed playing the course at the Air Force Academy. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

After 62 years of marriage Robert was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie. He is survived by sons Richard of Santa Fe, NM and Randall of Eagle, Idaho; their spouses; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
