Robert Everett Johnson, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
He was born on December 5, 1975, to Ernest Parker and Johnnie Mae (James) Parker in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated from Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs and attended Colorado State University Pueblo.
Robert worked as a claims adjuster for Progressive Insurance and also worked for Travelers Insurance and Current. He was an avid music lover who enjoyed rapping, dancing, and making music.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiarah VanBrunt; his parents; his sister, April Lazare (Alfredo Barahona); nieces, Shankua Brown, Geeselle Barahona, and Jackaylen Barahona; nephew, DeAngelo Lucas; and four grandchildren: Zaliyah Johnson, Malia VanBrunt, Symear VanBrunt, and Theo Johnson. He was also a great-uncle to: Vernessa Lucas, Rosamarie Brown, and Terry Brown, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception will follow at The Purple Onion, 1840 N. Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Inurnment will be private.
