Robert Lee Smith Sr. left us on Tuesday evening, February 15, 2022. Robert “Bob/Bobby” was a lifelong Colorado resident. He was owner and operator of One Stop Auto in Colorado Springs during his working years.
Bob was born on December 11, 1939 to Garold D. Smith and Helen L. (Sopko) Smith in Colorado Springs, CO.
Bob loved all the Colorado sports teams and spent many hours watching Rockies baseball and cheering on the Denver Broncos through good times and bad. Bob had a witty sense of humor and people were drawn to him for his personality and compassion for others. Bob loved music and old westerns. Later in life, he formed a love of puzzles and diamond painting.
He is survived by his children: Jennifer (Marco) Hernandez, Robert (Rebecca) Smith, Amy (Paul) Zelenski, his siblings: Garold D. (Louise) Smith Jr. and Mary Lammey, his grandchildren; Caitlin, Jordan, and Olivia Hernandez, and great grandson Isaiah Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garold and Helen Smith, and brother Paul.
As he wished, there will be no services.
Bob was greatly loved by many and will be missed.
Mary Lammey
26 Feb 2022Rest In Peace my dear Brother. I will truly miss our phone calls regarding football, politics and the project you were looking forward to pursuing. You will be missed by many especially by your Texas connection.

5 Mar 2022Love you and will miss you! The coolest uncle anyone could have…corvettes, hip music, a record he played trombone on! Amazing memories. How many cars did I take to Uncle Bobby so he could figure out why they didn’t run? He sold me my first car – the brown 1973 Pinto Station wagon. God bless you…
