Roberta went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2016. She was born August 7, 1945 to Keith and Norene Hobart in Trenton, Missouri. She moved to Kansas at a young age and eventually settled on a farm in Moran, Kansas. She showed cattle, rode her horse, did farm chores, and enjoyed her numerous pets.
Roberta was a cheerleader and band member and was involved in numerous school activities. After high school, she attended Business School in Topeka, Kansas, working in a bank and later a job at the Forbes Credit Union where she met Larry. Roberta and Larry were married in 1973 and moved to Alaska with the Air Force. Roberta was an Executive Secretary at RCA Alascom, moving to Colorado in 1978. She was Secretary to the President of Bethesda until her retirement in 2006.
Roberta also loved softball, golf, and enjoyed hiking. She was always an animal lover and thought the world of her family. Roberta made mission trips to Haiti / India and was a volunteer for many activities.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Larry; daughter, Stacey; son, Brian (Jensi); step-children: Vicki (Jimmy) and David; 14 grandchildren; and 10 grandchildren. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Noreen Hobart. Heaven is a little brighter today with her presence.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 420 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A reception will follow the services at the church. Private inurnment will take place in Moran, Kansas.
