Roberta Jean Buhl, 66, of Colorado Springs, Colorado died January 30, 2013 at her residence in Colorado Springs.
She was born in Colby, Kansas, January 30, 1947, to Robert J. and Zelma (Turner) Adams. She attended schools in Gunnison, Colorado and Colby, Kansas, graduating from Colby High School in 1965. She especially enjoyed acting in plays, public speaking and cheerleading. She also attended Colby Community College, Fort Hays State College and graduated from Wichita State University in 1976. She enjoyed being with people and employed her social skills in a variety of jobs.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson Aaron Michael Sweeney. She is survived by her children: daughters, Kelli Huelsman (Dan) of Colorado Springs and Jennifer Buhl Tschetter (Steve) of Garden City; son, Robert John Buhl (Darla) of Colby; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Lowry of Wichita; niece, Michele Boone of Lawrence; cousins and friends.
A memorial has been established with Colby High School, 1890 S. Franklin, Colby, Kansas 67701.
A private service will be held in Beulah Cemetery at a later date.
