Ronald was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to Andy and Nell (Rose) Anderson on March 15, 1943. In 1951, the Anderson family relocated to Security, Colorado, from Des Moines. Ronald attended Widefield High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Linda Morse. Ronnie and Linda were married on August 25, 1962, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Colorado Springs. To that union three children were born: Shelly, Leslie and Sean. Ronnie was a sweet and kind husband; a generous and supportive father and grandfather; and a loyal and loving family man.

Ronald was a district manager for the Colorado Springs Gazette where he retired after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, where he earned the highest degree of Pilgrim for his many years of volunteerism. Ronnie loved camping, motorcycle riding, traveling, spending time with his family, teasing his grandchildren and cheating at Monopoly. He was a sports fan, cheering on the Dodgers, Raiders, CU Buffs and Avalanche. Ronnie was a simple man who enjoyed peanut butter sandwiches, Coca-Cola, lottery tickets, Patsy Cline and his dog, Chip.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda; children: Leslie (Kevin), and Sean (Kristi); grandchildren: Kenny (Nikki), Kris (Samantha), and Katlyn; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Jimmy (Deanie), and David; sister, Karen; numerous nieces and nephews; and cherished friends.
