Ron was born to Bill and Myrtle (Clark) Orr in Frankfort, KS on August 26, 1942. Him and his wife Betty were married on December 2, 1961 in Marysville, KS at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
Ron spent his working years as a civil engineer, designer and surveyor for many companies in Colorado Springs, including his own company, Orr Nichols. In his free time, he loved camping, fishing, horseback riding, golfing, and skiing. He also had a love of classic cars, especially his Thunderbirds.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Betty, son Robert, along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Myrtle, brother Billy, sisters Janet and Carol Ann, daughter Christina, sons Jeff and Greg, and granddaughter Erin.
Ron was a wonderful, kind and loving man who always put his family first. He cared for all of those he loved and he loved with his whole heart. He will be dearly missed, and his family can’t wait to see him again someday.”
