Rosalie E. Harrington
March 3, 1932 – July 18, 2016
Rosalie E. Harrington, age 84, passed away on July 18, 2016 in Colorado Springs. She was born on March 3, 1932 to the late Howard Leslie Harrington and Ellen Evelyn (Korpi) Harrington in Manitoba, Canada. Her family moved to Minnesota when she was a child, where she lived all of her life before moving to Colorado Springs nearly 14 years ago to live with her sister. She retired as a secretary working for United States Steel Company.
Rosalie, in her younger years, loved to ski, play sports and ride horses. She also enjoyed playing the guitar. Tenderhearted, loving, kind and her love for animals are just a few of the things she will be best remembered for.
She is survived by her sister, Sally Plynn; 2 nieces: Carrol and Nancy; and a nephew, David; as well as numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents: Howard and Ellen Harrington; and a brother, George E. (Lillian) Harrington. Her sister-in-law, Lillian, was like a sister to Rosalie. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law: Daniel and Richard Plynn.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.
