Russell Gregg, 69, passed away on his birthday, March 21, 2016. He was a resident of Woodland Park for 4 years and was formerly a resident of Austin, TX. He was a maintenance technician in the high tech industry for 20 years.

Russell was born on March 21, 1947 to Watt Sam Jones and Betty (Brown) Martin in Topeka, Kansas. On August 29, 1975 he married Catherine E. Slizoski in Colorado Springs, CO.

Russell was fond of his Corvettes and had a passion for scuba diving, photography and his many dogs. He and Catherine enjoyed relaxing drives around Colorado and trips to the Caribbean with his family and friends for relaxation and scuba diving trips. He attended Palmer High School and graduated in 1965. Russell was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Gregg; his son, Eric Gregg; his sister, Barbra Walters; and his granddaughter, Emmery Gregg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Martin, and step father, Burnett Gregg.

A memorial will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 3rd at Johnny’s Navajo Hogan at 2817 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs CO, 80907. Russell wanted something intimate and fun to remember him by while talking about the good ‘ole times.

Please feel free to bring old pictures or anything that you feel may be appropriate for the occasion. If you have a Corvette or unique car and the weather is good please bring it! Relaxed attire is appropriate for his celebration of life.
