Ruth Elizabeth Crowther, 92, passed from her earthly home in Colorado Springs to her eternal home in Heaven on April 14, 2014. Her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard, was by her side.

Ruth was born on February 23, 1922 in Chase County, Nebraska to Clifton and Myrtle Tatum. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Beatrice Rowe, Dorothy Greene and June Tharp; and her first husband, Myrl Cranwell.

Ruth was an Avon Representative in Colorado Springs for 46 years. She enjoyed square dancing, cake decorating, sewing, gardening, traveling and loving on her grands.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Richard; three sons: Bill Cranwell (Molly), Robert Cranwell (Debra), Steven Crowther (Mary Ann); one daughter, Catherine Eaton (Robert); nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard. Private inurnment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
