Sherry L. Lindoerfer

Sherry Lee Lindoerfer, a woman of noble character, was called home to our Lord on September 17, 2018.

Her life is so much more than what this one paragraph could hold. She was a beautiful and faithful servant of The Lord, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She was a fantastic friend, loving patient and incredible human being! Her smile was a blessing to all who saw it and none will ever forget it. She was a gifted artist and just creative to the core. She gave us joy and hope and love and truth! Her life is a testament to her ministry of love.

Sherry Lindoerfer didn’t want a funeral. She touched so many people and many have asked for a service. We understand how deeply you all feel but we have decided to uphold her wishes. However, we thought we would give you something that comforts us and maybe it will comfort you. Mommy loved slurpees. We started with ICEE but that was too sweet so we took some trips to 7-11. Those quickly became our favorite and every other Saturday we would go to 7-11 for a slurpee.  Sometimes it was just her daughters and her, and other times it included her son and grandchildren. Recently she started to explore the slurpees at Mavericks gas station with her sister and husband. Over the last few weeks, this was a daily thing where one of the family would go out and get her one. So, whenever and wherever you are, if you are missing Mommy, go grab a slurpee in her honor. As this was something special for her let it be something special for you. We hope that this will comfort you as much as it comforts us.

This Obituary Has 4 Condolences

  1. Love the slurpee reference! Your mom was so special. Loved her even though I only met her a few times, but she gave you guys to the world, so she had to be pretty awesome.
Love to your family, comfort and grace to you all.

  2. Sherry is pain free, worry free, tear free….with Christ. I am jealous a bit of her, but happy for her….but sad for us….an amazing person! One of a kind.

  3. Sherry was my sister, my mother, my friend. She taught me how to be a woman, a wife, a mother,a friend, and a human being. Sherry taught me what it was to be loved and to actually show love. Sherry raised me and then helped me raise my children. Sherry took me from the gutter, and cleaned me up, as much as she could, with what she had to work with. Sherry is the most inspirational, loving, patient, kind, and forgiving person that you could ever encounter! Sherry you will be missed. And to your family; I know that she is with the Lord. But I know you’ll miss her greatly and for that my condolences. I am sorry for everything and I love you all!

  4. My condolences to you all. I know your hearts are heavy, but God’s compassion will help you through.~Psalm 34:18
