Susan Jane Yzaguirre, age 77, passed away on July 27, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs.

On April 22, 1944, Susan was born to Amadeo Joe Archuleta and Petra Archuleta (Herrera) in Brighton, Colorado. On May 22, 1980, she married Ramon Yzaguirre. 

Susan loved dancing, crocheting, cooking, baking, and planting beautiful flowers. She loved getting together for family meals and playing games. The love for kids and animals was phenomenal. She was devoted to her family; they meant everything to her.  Most of all, she had a good Christian heart, and her love for Jesus was undeniable.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Yzaguirre; her children: Angelo Vigil, Tino Vigil, Gary Stuber Jr. (Stacy), Andres Yzaguirre, Yvette Lobato (Gerald), Ruby Vigil (Gabriel), and Marcella Yzaguirre; her siblings: Rudy Archuleta, Mary Barraza, Beatrice Nunez, and Maryanne Parra; her thirty-eight grandchildren, sixty-three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amadeo Joe Archuleta and Petra (Herrera) Archuleta Martinez, and two sisters and nine brothers: Gloria Ortega, Evelyn, Maggie, Bonnie, Tino, George, Joe, Jim, Frank, Johnny, and Robert Archuleta.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 3, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” chapel.  At 2 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, a funeral service at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
