Tazmun, 18 years old, passed away on February 8, 2016. Tazmun was born on February 15, 1997 in Layton, Utah. Taz was fond of Star Wars, enjoyed watching his brothers play hockey, and graduated from Mitchell High School.
He is survived by his parents, Dave and Sonia Tiner and Jayson and Michelle Heeks; his brothers, Trever and Gavin Heeks; step brothers, Brayden, Colby and Simon; step sister, Avery; grandparents, Kai and Judy Murphy, Fred T. Evans, Hilda and Bill Keller, Robert and Marla Heeks and John and Marilyn Tiner.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 13th at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO. A celebration reception will be held following the service at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charites, Make-A-Wish Foundation or Pediatric Heart Institute at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the name of Tazmun Robert Heeks. Each one of those organizations had a great impact on him and his family’s lives.
