Teresa Lynn Herod
Teresa Lynn Herod, a resident of Colorado Springs for 40 years, passed away August 13, 2012 after a courageous battle against cancer. She was an Administrative Assistant working with medical records.
Teresa was born November 26, 1957 in Denver, Colorado to Elden L. and Peggy A. (Summers) Hedberg. She graduated from Doherty High School in 1976 and she married Troy Hugh Herod on May 26, 1976 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and delighted in spoiling them.
Teresa is survived by her daughters: Krishna (husband Steve) Bigley and Cassandra Herod; her parents; her brothers: Steven and Michael Hedberg; her sister, Debra Brutocao; and six grandchildren: Matthew Shirley, Andrew Shirley, Ashton Shirley, Preston Bigley, Hailie Bigley, and Aaden Wooten; as well as numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard. Inurnment will be private.
