Thomas Tejan, age 84, passed away on October 19, 2024. He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, for over 30 years. Thomas was an Air Force Veteran discharged with Honors, he was a commercial truck driver for T&R trucking, and after retiring, he helped served his community by driving the activities bus for special needs students.
Thomas was born on September 9, 1940, in Ohio, and was taken into the loving home of Howard and Helen Tejan.
Tom was fond of building model cars, collecting coins, and watching the Broncos play on Sundays. When he wasn’t watching football, he was invested in watching NASCAR’s Talladega. He loved being surrounded with his family.
He is survived by his five children: Fred Tejan and his sons, James and Freddy Tejan; Susie Tejan and her children, Anita and Joseph Tejan; Helen McGrew and her children: Bobby, Ryan, Shannon, and Shelby Mcgrew; Lisa Tejan and her children: Thomas and Lissa Lopez, Felix and Miranda Gonzales, and Vincent Garcia; and Joshua Tejan and his children: Janelle, Joshua, Andre Michael, Andre Marquis, Amber, Alex, and Ali. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Arelli, Unique, Lorenzo, Israel, Isabel, Isaiah, Sienna, Valencia, Bazyle Brennan, Blade, Neiken, Lavee, Rylee, Reagan, Griffin, Rowan, Piper; and his brother, Bob.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Rosita Tejan, who was the light of his world; as well as his grandchildren, Imagine and Angel.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
A funeral service and 21-gun salute will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, following the visitation.
2 Corinthians 5:1: “For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands”.

I will always look to you as my grandpa. May you rest peacefully with Grandma Rose. I know you’re smiling down and still looking over us. We will always love you each and everyday, never forgotten.
