Timothy James Buckley, age 68, passed away on March 15th, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Tim was a Veteran of the United States Army and served as a radio operator while stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked for Solar World for over 25 years. He resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 40 years. Tim was born February 14th, 1950 to James and Cleo (Chance) Buckley in Chicago, Illinois. Tim enjoyed photographing nature, travel, and was a diehard Denver Broncos fan. Tim is survived by his siblings: Maeve (Robert) Garcia and Mary Therese Buckley, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; along with many loving nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents: James and Cleo Buckley; sisters: Erin (Buckley) Griffin, and Karen Frances Buckley; brothers: Kevin Francis Buckley, Terrence Patrick Buckley, and Michael Brendon Buckley.
A Memorial Mass for Tim J. Buckley will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. It will be held in the Chapel of Sacred Heart Church, 2030 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tim’s name to the American Cancer Society.
Tim brought endless joy and happiness to so many lives and had a deep level of kindness. He had the most wonderful “off the wall” sense of humor and was known as “The Professor” by friends and family. He was an honest man who walked with God his whole life, which was reflected in his photographs and his love towards his family.
We love you Tim. You will forever be in our hearts, dear Brother, Uncle and Friend.
